“I ached all over for her; I leaned my head in her beautiful hair. Her little shoulders drove me mad; I hugged her and hugged her. And she loved it.
”I love love,” she said, closing her eyes. I promised her beautiful love. I gloated over her. Our stories were told; we subsided into silence and sweet anticipatory thoughts. It was as simple as that. ”
I had the great privilege to participate in Jordan Roth's Making Mondays at the beginning of the year (like January 11th...yes, I'm playing catch up)! Choreographer Allison Plamondon invited me along as one of her dancers for this multi-artistic-creative event that is live-streamed on Periscope. (Oh, and the WSJ came along too.)
I'm proud to share this dance film I had the privilege to work on earlier this summer by the lovely Jaema Joy Green. I love these ladies + frolicking through all the fields and rolling around in my favorite sun-drenched studio. I hope this brings you JOY!
The last few months I've been working on a new piece for VFILES on subway performers. Please check out the documentary I directed and produced in two parts below. I see the W.A.F.F.L.E Crew more like a brotherhood, and though they may have started dancing on the train, their performing has afforded them opportunities far beyond the five boroughs...
I'm proud to announce I've officially joined the Honey Taps, a song and dance company that pays homage to the effervescent chorus gals of eras gone by. We're the ladies with happy feet :) I made my debut in NYC at the beginning of the month.
I just wrapped shooting an episode of Cinemax's The Knick featuring Clive Owen (who is just as dapper in person as you think he is) directed by Steven Soderbergh with choreography by John Carrafa and Asst. Choreographer Jenn Rapp.
Hello 2015! It's about time I got this thing started. I wrapped up 2014 in a whirlwind and am excited to welcome 2015 with open arms! (I know, it's now May.) Last Fall I took a season to really look at what it meant to live a creative lifestyle, performed in some exciting projects, launched a blog, and continued creating new content for brands in the social media world. Check them out below. Here's to many new creative endeavors in 2015!
